ball contact highest hit offense point
Being taller, I can contact the ball at its highest point and he can hit it at its highest point. It makes our offense that much more fluid.
ball calls good hitter matter route runs tough
He's a good hitter because he runs his route hard, no matter where he is. He calls for the ball loud. It's tough not to give someone like him the ball.
ball came care changed played problem tough
They changed their lineup, but that's not a problem as long as we take care of the ball on our side. They came out tough and played hard. We played harder.
ball control five guys hitting tough worry
We were controlling the ball really well. That enabled me to get so many opportunities to my hitters. When we have ball control like that, I can go anywhere, and it makes it tough for the opposing team. They have to worry about five guys hitting at all times.
ball decided exploit middle move opening saw stopped trying until usual
I was just trying to move the ball around as usual and keep them guessing. I saw that opening down the middle and decided to exploit it until they stopped it.
balls beats coming defense ego props
Their defense is incredible. It just beats down on your ego when balls keep on coming back over and over. I give props to them.
almost changing hitter liberty offense point scouting thinking took tried
We tried to keep them guessing. With these back-to-back matches, the scouting can be so right on sometimes. They almost know where I'm going to set before I do. I took the liberty of scouting myself and changing my game. Not so much to the point where my offense was different, but to where my situational thinking was different. A hitter has to make the right shots, and I have to make the right decisions.
added against fun past playing teammates
There's added incentive, playing SC, with so many past schoolmates and teammates playing for them. It will be fun to play against them.
control cutting game pace second third
We got going there at the end of the first game and started cutting down on our errors. Then our control of the pace of the game really showed in the second and third games.
anxious caught few harder improve mental
We got caught in a few mental errors. We were a little anxious after a long, restful weekend. We can improve on that, as well as working harder on our serves.
based knew
We were going off based on what we knew (from the summer) and grapevine stuff. We had to make in-game adjustments.
doubt rather today win
Today was bittersweet, without a doubt. I'd much rather have a win than first-team anything.
battling couple falling hurts past playing practices tape tough whether
Obviously, it hurts a lot. He's battling to get past that. It's going to be tough the first couple of practices to get used to having a hurt finger. He's not going to give up. He's always playing hard. Whether that thing is falling off, he'll still play, even if he has to tape it on.
falls rest
When you can pass, the rest falls into place.
