When you go in after you put up a good victory and you executed well and you played a rival away game, you go in with confidence. You go in with your head high, and you're ready to take on the world.

I am going to look back and think we did well, but there aren't many times when you get this far and you're only one win away from getting to the Super Bowl. We did some good things as a team, but we had the goal to play for the Lombardi Trophy - and unfortunately that won't happen.

I have plenty of time (to follow college football). I know what my perspectives are. I love sports. I spend all day Saturday watching college football anyway, so I'll put it to good use.

It's also good for the guys like me because now somebody has a little extra money and they can go after a veteran who might have gotten squeezed out in this. I'm sure the veteran minimum is going to go up, so guys like me can go out and get a one-year somewhere and feel good about the situation they are going into.

It's hard to take punches. Our offense did a good job building a lead. It's just human nature to blink when things like that happen.

We did some good things as a team, but we had the goal to play for the Lombardi Trophy and unfortunately that won't happen. This is not how you want to end your year. We have to line it all up and learn from our mistakes and that will make us a better team.
