We didn't have pre-game jitters, we just couldn't convert and we lost our composure before the half. We gave up a long pass before the half, and that's what bothers me the most.

Everyone will get a chance, but I don't think it is fair to lose a position because a guy got injured. It will be competitive. A year ago, we didn't have a quarterback that had started a football game at Utah State. Now, we have two quarterbacks that have won a football game at Utah State. That is the type of competition we want at all positions.

Marcus Cross made some good plays when we went live. When he learns more of the offense and what we expect of him, he will get better.

Marquise has done that a couple of times this spring. He has a good burst and can make those plays. ... That was a nice hit in the open field. That's the way you want to see one side start.
