They are probably a little favored over us. We put a challenge to our kids that someone needs to step up and win a match they're not supposed to. Someone needs to pin where they weren't expected, and we need to stay off of our backs as much as possible.

We just didn't wrestle quite as well in the championship match. But we're walking out state runner-up. I'm proud of this team. It's been a great year. At the beginning of the year I wasn't sure how we were going to be. These kids stepped up and we wrestled in the championship match.

We have matches that we can win, but it works both ways. We have to be ready to go and can't take anyone lightly.

We were worried about him, sure. We wanted him to finish the match, but not if he was hurt. Matt's a kid who would have tried to finish if he was hurt, and if he had gotten beat like that, it would have been terrible.
