James Bradley "Brad" Johnsonis a former American football quarterback. Johnson grew up in Black Mountain, North Carolina. At Florida State University, Johnson originally played college basketball before switching to football in his third year. The Minnesota Vikings drafted Johnson in the ninth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. I worked at two other schools where I came on where the coaching staff was there, and it kind of had a system. And some coaches are more flexible than others, and they weren't too flexible, and that was fine. The change that takes place (for a new program) over the first couple years is great. And after that, hopefully you'll have your good traditions set in place.

I think he's a great player. I can't speak for Brad, but I think if it would be me, it'd be motivation. He's taken three different teams to the playoffs, one to the Super Bowl, and he's been to the Pro Bowl on two different teams. At some point, even Rodney Dangerfield gets some respect.

We've got to step up and play finals footy. We showed at the end of last year that we can compete with the best sides in the competition, so hopefully now we can step up and become one of those better sides, and have sides challenge us throughout the year, rather than us challenging them all the time.

No. 1, it's not always a Cover 2 defense. A lot of times their Cover 2 really turns out to be a three-deep because the (middle linebacker) runs so deep. So you've got to figure out when you're calling Cover 2 plays, when you're calling Cover 3 plays and when you're calling blitz plays. It's confusing, and they do a great job of disguising.
