bowl gets great pro rodney speak super taken teams three
I think he's a great player. I can't speak for Brad, but I think if it would be me, it'd be motivation. He's taken three different teams to the playoffs, one to the Super Bowl, and he's been to the Pro Bowl on two different teams. At some point, even Rodney Dangerfield gets some respect.
feet finding great hard high job percentage plays replace somebody within
It's hard to replace somebody like Randy, but there's a lot of playmakers here. Daunte plays very well within this system. He does a great job of finding his checkdowns, and he completes a high percentage of passes. He makes a lot of plays with his feet and plays with a lot of enthusiasm.
good great potential
It's been a good story, but it's not over. It has the potential to be a really great story.
catching closed eyes great job threw
I just closed my eyes and threw it up. Nate did a great job of catching it.
appreciate greatness mike tough treated wish
It's the owner's decision. It's a tough business, and I appreciate Mike and the way he treated me and the way he treated the team. I wish him greatness.
blitz calling cover figure great job plays runs turns
No. 1, it's not always a Cover 2 defense. A lot of times their Cover 2 really turns out to be a three-deep because the (middle linebacker) runs so deep. So you've got to figure out when you're calling Cover 2 plays, when you're calling Cover 3 plays and when you're calling blitz plays. It's confusing, and they do a great job of disguising.
crazy great guy guys job playing plays randy within
He's really sharp. The guy does a great job of playing within the system, not doing crazy things. Let guys make plays for him, and I think that will show even more now that Randy isn't here.
ball care felt good hitting moving taking
We started taking care of the ball pretty well, moving the ball around and taking good shots. Something just clicked. We started hitting on all cylinders. It felt pretty good.
looking positively
We're looking positively to the future. I know we can do it.
left matt player rookie
The only player left was Matt Birk, ... He was a rookie in '98. Now he's hurt.
ask change community dislike dream focus seen trying understand
We really focus on trying to understand what (residents) like and dislike about the community and what they've seen change over the years. And we also ask them to dream a bit.
came change coaches coaching couple flexible good hopefully schools staff takes traditions worked
I worked at two other schools where I came on where the coaching staff was there, and it kind of had a system. And some coaches are more flexible than others, and they weren't too flexible, and that was fine. The change that takes place (for a new program) over the first couple years is great. And after that, hopefully you'll have your good traditions set in place.
everybody excited impact ready
It doesn't have the same impact as the ground. It's softer. Everybody will be a lot more excited to play and get ready for practice. I think it will be beneficial.
It does feel good. It's been a long time.
