When I went on my first run about two months after having my first child in 1998, I didn't get more than half a block before realizing that my shorts were soaked. I was very upset. As an athlete, I was used to being active and not having anything slow me down. Now I had to worry about leaking, while trying to return to the active lifestyle I was used to.

I wasn't really expecting me to win the gold in this race. To get another medal for myself and for the U.S. was a pretty good thing to happen, I'd say.
