balls couple early instead momentum runs
We had a couple of balls where if they get down early instead of being caught, it's a different game. We've got to find a way to get some runs early and get momentum back on our side.
again believes couple early games kids kinds last ourselves several team trouble win
We got ourselves into some trouble early in the game, but once again these kids showed that they never give up. We have had several of these kinds of games over the last couple of weeks, and this team believes it is going to win every time.
bat exactly far fully trying
We're trying to get another bat or two going. We're trying to solidify things and this early, it doesn't exactly have to be fully solidified, but we're not as far as I'd like to be.
advantage door good hitting teams took
When the door opened, they took advantage like good hitting teams do. The teams we play have been able to do that, and we haven't.
alabama beating beginning believe finally four guess high level saying stick team telling
We've been telling our team for four years that if they'd stick with the plan, we'll be able to play at a high level of baseball. I guess after beating Alabama and Auburn in a week's time, they're finally beginning to believe what we've been saying is the truth.
certainly coming content courage easily game satisfied winning
We don't want to be content with winning the series, but we're certainly satisfied with what we've done. They showed a lot of courage coming back in a game they could have easily let get away.
ball continued early good happy hit pitch positive scholars-and-scholarship ugly whether
I don't know whether to be happy or sad. This was an ugly, ugly game. The positive is that we continued to hit the ball well, but we didn't play very good defense, and we didn't pitch very well early in the game.
critical mike missed pitch spots
Mike was not sharp. He missed some spots on critical counts. He can pitch better, and he will.
alabama altogether guys rolling series south sweep telling year
I would have never guessed that we would come out here and sweep South Alabama this weekend. But what a way to get us off and rolling in a new conference. We have been telling our guys all year that they are good, but it is another thing altogether to sweep a three-game series from South Alabama.
coaches deciding hard league placing players sure time
I am sure the other coaches in the league had a hard time deciding where to place our players on the All-Conference team, just as I did placing theirs.
best change edgar hitter moved season second switched tom
When the season started, (King) was the No. 3 hitter, and I've always been one to have my best hitter in the No. 3 hole. But Edgar Ramirez started off hot, so I moved him to No. 3 and switched Tom to the second hitter. Then we started winning. I figured, why change something that's working?
ben good great kept law streak talked
I thought it was very special. I talked to his wife, mother-in-law and see the baby. I thought it was great and Ben had a good day and kept his streak alive. All and all, it was a very good day for us.
bats driving good offense runs swinging
Our offense has really come around. We're swinging the bats well and getting good at-bats. When we get runs on, we're driving them in.
game hard learning played proud tonight
It is a game of inches, but we just couldn't get one to go our way tonight. Still, I am proud of our group. They played hard tonight and showed that they are learning how to compete.
