bit complaints exactly fell knew opportunity rules
I have no complaints at all, ... We knew exactly what we had to do. We had an opportunity to do it. We just fell a little bit short. We knew what the rules were.
challenge coming definitely forward learn looking
It's definitely disappointing, but it's something we'll learn from. We'll be back. We're looking forward to the challenge of coming back.
easier morning time
Any time you get up in the morning and get started it's easier, ... It's easier on your stomach, that's for sure.
anytime ball character drive line minus offensive running shows toughness
Anytime you make a play like Brandon did and take the ball from the minus two and drive it out of there, that shows a lot of character and a lot of toughness by our offensive line and our running game,
both certainly game glad half hard kentucky momentum second seen sides time turning
That momentum is something that's hard to explain. But we've seen both sides of it. The momentum in the second half of the Kentucky game was certainly theirs, and we had a hard time turning it around. Today, they started out, and then we started making big plays. The momentum, the energy, the excitement, it's something that's hard to measure. But I was certainly glad to see it.
game good job line mixing offensive physical playing run secondary speed
They are very big and physical on the offensive front. They like to run the football, so we have to do a good job of mixing up what we do, playing our game and doing a good job at the line of scrimmage and then also (using) our speed at linebacker and in the secondary to get to the ball.
against best coaches players shy took won
We went against a lot of big-name schools. Our coaches were not shy about it. They went after the best players in their areas. We took some hits, but we won some.
decision excited huge integral offense return senior university
We're very excited about Michael's decision to return to the University of Louisville. He's such an integral part of our offense and I look for him to have a huge senior season.
accurate adjust ball best bit brian coming defense dropped gave good guys job plan played reading taking threw today
Brian threw the ball real well. He was very accurate today and I thought he did his best job of reading and taking what the defense gave us because they played us a little bit different than we thought they would coverage-wise, dropped guys a little deeper, blitzed us more on first down. So they had a pretty good plan coming in and we had to adjust a little bit.
ahead along brian
Brian has come along well. He's way ahead of where I thought he'd be right now.
talk
Brandon would talk to a wall, ... if he could get it to talk back to him.
aggressive ball clock coverage definitely eight everybody game good guys nine oregon pass plays press run rush starters state stop three tight waiting
Everybody would like to see that. Oregon State plays very aggressive on defense. They try to get eight or nine guys down to stop the run and play really tight press coverage with their corners. What they try to do is get a pass rush and put a clock on the quarterback, and they're very good at that. They have three new starters in the secondary. Everyone has been waiting for the ball to go downfield and we're definitely going to have to do that in this game and make some big plays.
cardinal commitment committed connection family football fulfilling goal great job louisville mentioned name national next openings players program taking understand university
I understand my name is being mentioned in connection with job openings in the National Football League, but I want to re-iterate my commitment to the University of Louisville, our players and all of our Cardinal fans. The University of Louisville has been great for me, and family and I'm committed to fulfilling our goal of taking the program to the next level.
ahead challenge kicked straight
So we know they're going to challenge in that area, and we can't have a punt blocked. Some of that was our punter didn't go straight ahead when he kicked it.
