Bill Davis Stadium has been ranked as one of the best college baseball stadiums in the country and I think Ohio State fans have done a great job creating an extremely positive atmosphere. I can't believe it is the 10th season.

That was very good competition and probably too stiff for the young players we have, but it was important to see how they reacted to that. We were in need of a potential back-up catcher, but we also knew that he was pretty versatile. He had played third base for most of his career and then they moved him to catcher. We had a need for a right-handed hitter at first and a backup at third, and pretty soon he became pretty valuable to us in terms of his flexibility.
