We played very well defensively in the first half and had the high energy. It was a good effort. We went hard after every loose ball.

We kept the sisters to a combined 25, and usually they average something like 45. Kris really took her out of it.

Usually if she takes a shot I yell at her. But tonight I actually told her, 'If they don't play you, go ahead and shoot.' But I was kind of hoping she didn't take me literally.

A lot of it is mystique. We're just playing on our reputation a lot of times. Everybody sees us as a defensive monster. They think we're lightning quick. But then they stand next to us and see we're not that way. It's perception. We probably get 8-10 in perception every time we step on the floor.
bottom five half six
You don't want to go backwards. The bottom five or six (players) got to play two, two and a half quarters.
beat people tough
Once we get ahead, it's tough for people to come back and beat us.
game last team thrown
They were in my doghouse last night. I had thrown the whole team out of practice. It was a game to re-establish ourselves.
good job kids looking nice older played second
I thought our kids played with nice energy. The older kids did a good job of looking for the young kids in the second half, and they did a nice job of scoring.

That first half was almost a diagram of how to play.
easy guards kids lean playing school tall teams
Long, lean teams give us trouble. Those are very tall teams, and the kids are athletic. We've won, but it's never easy playing that kind of school for us. We've got 10 guards and two forwards.
