There wasn't that hype that we usually have at Thornwood, and I think some of the kids took it personally. They're smart kids, willing to learn and they work hard every day.

Cole did a good job of controlling the middle. We had a hard time getting some offensive rebounds. ... If you did get inside, Cole's big and long. He's right there and had some blocked shots.

I think the double overtime (game) against Bloom last time at Bloom last time (had us ready for this one). We know Bloom has a lot of talent so they are capable of doing some damage.
decision games gym played players staff stay summer weekend
I think we kind of made a decision as a staff and the players did, too, to stay away from the summer circuit, get back to the gym and get back to fundamentals. We only played about 27 summer games and did not get in any weekend tournaments.

He had to work so hard to get open shots. It's hard when you're not a rhythm and you're not getting as many shots as you're used to.

He was limping a little bit (Thursday) afternoon. But once the adrenaline starts pumping, he should be OK.

He had a couple open looks there and (being a) good player, he knocked them down.

When he's scoring a lot, we're not at our best. When he's letting the game come to him and getting other people involved, he's making his teammates better.

Being short, I had to look over heads. I saw the one kid shooting the ball. I saw the ball go through the net a lot.
bottom early hurt line
They hurt us early inside. I think the bottom line is they did what they wanted to do.
breaking count pitch threw throw
He threw a lot of first-pitch strikes. He competed all the way through. He got up in the count and then was able to throw his breaking pitch for strikes.
