challenge continue forward grow newspaper position serve true wonderful work
It's wonderful to be able to work with so many true newspaper professionals. I look forward to the challenge of my new position and continue to grow and serve all of the communities we cover.
ball played
We got out of a lot of jams. They put the ball in play but we played pretty well defensively. We were happy.
delight entire
The show is a delight for the entire family.
best game girls next remedy
I told the girls after (Wednesday's loss) that the best remedy for a game like that is to play one the next day. It was big for us.
belt couple nice wins
It's nice to have a couple wins under our belt going into this week.
beat best hope league opinion senior seven six team
That's in my opinion the best team in the league and we can play right with them. They have a senior pitcher, six or seven seniors, but we'll be okay. I hope we'll be in it, but I think they are the team to beat right now.
ball couple extra few gave girls good haunt hitting plays
A couple of plays here or there made the difference. They're a good hitting team, they put the ball in play. And I told the girls beforehand, if we make the plays, we should be OK. Unfortunately we gave them a few extra outs, and that always comes back to haunt you.
bang bleeding stop
It got a little hairy. Fortunately we were able to stop the bleeding and come back and bang one out.
came credit errors good last outfield team year
I give them credit, too. They were down 4-3 and that must have been disheartening. They came back -- that's a pretty good team on that side. It's always been our strength, especially our outfield defense. I think we went all of last year with two errors in the outfield. It was just one of those days.
except smell
I never could tell anything, except the smell from the creek.
