continue decent hope process recognize start
First and foremost, coaches, and then players, have to really recognize what are the issues. We're in that process right now. We got a decent start on it (Monday), and we hope to continue through the week.
adds bad expected feels period saw saying thomas
Thomas is a better back than what you saw today. I'm not saying he was bad, he wasn't bad at all. I saw Thomas do some things during our two a day period that were awfully good, that I did not see him do before, and I expected him to do that today, but we didn't get to see it. When he feels comfortable with it and can do that, that just adds to his game.
accepts departing harm knows nor process responding thomas wrong
Thomas had no intent, nor did he harm anyone. He was wrong in departing from where he was, and he accepts that responsibility. He knows that there are consequences, and he is in the process of responding to those consequences.
finds game hustle kick lift plays pure teammate
Every game, T.J. always finds hustle points. Every game he is going to kick in with pure hustle plays, and those are the plays that lift you emotionally. When you see a teammate make plays like he does, you've got to kick it up a step, don't you?
against beating care coming everybody footing game good hard playing record tough trying valley win
Beating Chippewa Valley is a pretty good win for us or for anybody. I don't care what their record is when we play them. They come out and they play hard and play good defense. They have everybody coming in playing their A game against them because they are Chippewa Valley and they are trying to get their footing right now and it has been tough for them.
anyone ball burden carry
As I said to Davin or any of our players, no one play (decided the outcome). I can think of 100 in any ball game.... No one should have to carry the burden for that. Not Davin. Not anyone else.
define diligently exactly hard issues looking necessity past spent staff taken time worked
We spent a lot of time looking backward, and that was out of necessity. What has taken place is we've worked very diligently and hard collectively, our staff and our players, to define exactly what the issues were from this past season.
measure scale
Well, how do you want me to measure it, ... On a scale of one to 10, we were a zero.
commitment guys somewhat talent
The other 10 guys need to give him some help. We've got a lot of talent at other positions, and to make that kind of commitment to one guy can be somewhat risky.
anyone completion eventually field hard middle miss
If they are in the middle of the field all the time, yes, it is probably pretty hard for anyone to stop, ... If you can get some field position, and you give them the three- and four-yard completion . . . then eventually they miss one of them.
gets prefer seems
I would prefer Meier if he gets healthy, ... He has a better arm, and Webb seems a little too sporadic.
fighting fly gotten nail tooth
I would have gotten the money, ... There wasn't any doubt. We were fighting tooth and nail to get this thing going. We weren't just going to let it fly by the wayside.
complete gives growth matter
Rhett just gives you the complete package, I think. Now, it's just a matter of growth for him.
conference job learning mental nice
I think he's learning what this conference is all about. What I like is his mental toughness. He did a pretty nice job today.
