confidence effort particular players pleased progress recruiting road sure win work
I'm sure a win will do a lot for us. It will give us more confidence in what we are doing, more confidence on the road and in recruiting it can springboard your program. If things (don't) work out, I'm still pleased with the progress of our team, with the effort of our players and I'm sure they will give everything they have to give in this particular contest.
again came experience far good learn mistakes next players positive proud shot team win work
I am really proud of how far this team came this year. I really want to give our players a lot of credit. I think of this as a positive experience for the team. I thought we had a good shot to win today, but we just didn't get it done. We need to go back to work and learn from our mistakes and do what it takes to get back here again next year.
build great insight players provided repetition
We got a lot of repetition in. It was great work, especially for our young players. ... We are still working to build our depth, and that provided us with a lot of insight about our players today.
against bowl challenge experience game great help means michigan next players prepare team year
It'll be a great challenge and experience for our players. Having not been in a bowl a year ago, I know our players are excited. However, I know going against a team like Michigan will help us prepare for next year. This game means a lot to us.
afternoon luxury meetings morning players spending until
You don't have the luxury of spending all morning and part of the afternoon in meetings with players like you do in the NFL. Some days, with classes, you don't see your players until 2 or 2:30. You'd always like to have more time.
class compete continuing dream help main national ourselves players position signed strive today win
The main thing here is that we're continuing to strive to win the Big 12 divisional championship and put ourselves in position to compete for the Big 12 and national championship. I think this class really allows us to do that. The players we signed here today can help that dream become a reality.
coaches forward great love players road seeing spring talking visiting
I love going on the road and visiting with coaches and seeing different players and talking with guys. It was a great dialogue. I look forward to getting out in the spring and visiting with a lot more coaches.
changed flexible last offense whatever year
We changed the offense last year and we'll change again. We'll do whatever we've got to do. I'm pretty flexible in that respect.
behind game start
The start of the game really put us behind the eight-ball. We didn't start fast. We didn't start the way we want to start normally.
becoming closing gap team
I see our team becoming better, being more consistent, closing the gap in a lot of areas.
coming cultural represent understood
I understood that my coming here would represent a cultural change,
changing confused defense sets
Our defense didn't let them get into their sets too often. Changing our sets we had them confused often.
added allow atmosphere best college country electricity game great home lincoln memorial nebraska night opportunity parts prospects
Every home game at Nebraska has a great atmosphere, but there is added electricity for a night game at Memorial Stadium. It will also allow us the opportunity to get prospects here from all parts of the country into Lincoln to see the best game-day atmosphere in college football.
bad loved program run
That (would have been) bad sportsmanship to have put her back in. I would have loved for her to get the record, but we don?t run our program that way.
