chain creator depend divine energy matter mystery power remain though
And yet beings, in reality, do not remain in Me. Look at the power of My divine mystery. Though the sustainer and creator of all beings, I do not remain in them. (In reality, the chain does not depend on gold; the chain is nothing but gold. Also, matter and energy are different as well as non-different).
danger die duty however lacking thine though
It is better to do thine own duty, however lacking in merit, than to do that of another, even though efficiently. It is better to die doing one's own duty, for to do the duty of another is fraught with danger.
activities meditation mind practice single sitting thoughts yogi
Sitting and concentrating the mind on a single object, controlling the thoughts and the activities of the senses, let the yogi practice meditation for self-purification.
author though
Though I am the author of this system, one should know that I do nothing and I am eternal.
blinded evil sin though
Though they, blinded by greed, do not see evil in the destruction of the family, or sin in being treacherous to friends.
bound engaged mind sees self senses though whose
A Karma-yogi whose mind is pure, whose mind and senses are under control, and who sees one and the same Self in all beings, is not bound (by Karma) though engaged in work.
creation creator hear powers source
What the creation is, what it is like, what its transformations are, where the source is, who that creator is, and what His powers are, hear all these from Me in brief.
men questions wisest work
What is work and what is not work are questions that perplex the wisest of men.
austerity mind purity serenity
The serenity of mind, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and the purity of mind are called the austerity of thought.
known name sorrow state union
The state of severance of union with sorrow is known by the name of yoga.
equally present self
The Self is present equally in all beings.
blazing brilliance difficult mass shining sun
I see You with Your crown, club, discus; and a mass of radiance, difficult to behold, shining all around with immeasurable brilliance of the sun and the blazing fire.
explain fully knowing known remains self-knowledge shall together
I shall fully explain to you the Self-knowledge together with Self-realization after knowing that nothing more remains to be known in this world.
attains describe fully knowing object shall
I shall fully describe the object of knowledge, knowing which one attains immortality.
