chain creator depend divine energy matter mystery power remain though
And yet beings, in reality, do not remain in Me. Look at the power of My divine mystery. Though the sustainer and creator of all beings, I do not remain in them. (In reality, the chain does not depend on gold; the chain is nothing but gold. Also, matter and energy are different as well as non-different).
beginning contact delight due man material pleasures sources wise
An intelligent person does not take part in the sources of misery, which are due to contact with material senses. Such pleasures have a beginning and an end, and so the wise man does not delight in them.
family immorality problems social women
And when immorality prevails, O Krishna, the women of the family become corrupted; when women are corrupted, social problems arise.
becoming beings earth entering moon nourish scholars-and-scholarship support
Entering the earth I support all beings with My energy; becoming the sap-giving moon I nourish all the plants.
faith fulfill granted steady wishes worship
Endowed with steady faith they worship that deity, and fulfill their wishes through that deity. Those wishes are, indeed, granted only by Me.
giving likes mind objects purified sound turning
Endowed with purified intellect, subduing the mind with resolve, turning away from sound and other objects of the senses, giving up likes and dislikes.
greatest moved self
Established in Self-Realization, one is not moved even by the greatest calamity.
cross knowledge ocean raft shall sin sinful
Even if one is the most sinful of all sinners, yet one shall cross over the ocean of sin by the raft of knowledge alone.
draws senses tortoise wise
Even as a tortoise draws in its limbs, the wise can draw in their senses at will.
cannot fear reality
Fear not what is not real, never was and never will be. What is real, always was and cannot be destroyed.
above branches root speak spirit-and-spirituality tape tree
Sages speak of the immutable Tree of Life, with its tape root above and its branches below.
bow creatures mentally practice
Practice to look upon all creatures as Myself in thought, word, and deed; and mentally bow down to them.
reality sat word
SAT is used in the sense of reality and goodness. The word 'SAT' is also used for an auspicious act, O Arjuna.
perfection persons scarcely strives thousands
Scarcely one out of thousands of persons strives for perfection of Self-realization.
