We keep plugging away. We work a lot of reception and getting more out of our serve. We have to compensate for being smaller at the net. We're working on our timing.

It's nice, it's an honor. What a privilege to be able to defend a state title. So my job is to get them to believe and work hard enough to be able to back that up and do it.

I thought we served well and I thought our back row defense was pretty good. I wasn't pleased with our blocking. We can get better.

That's a good stinger for us. We needed an eye-opener, and every match is going to be just like that, that kind of competition.
