game guess learn lessons next
I guess you could say we usually learn our lessons and not come out the next game and make the same mistakes.
carried carry seems step until
Chauncey has been big all season, and he carried us today. Every game, if we are struggling, someone seems to step up and carry us until we get going again.
defense game good seems struggles trip
If our defense struggles a little bit, our whole game seems to struggle. It's good to know we're going out on this trip with our defense clicking.
beat force guys hard pick shortcuts sign tough
I didn't know anything about it, but I think that's a sign of consistency. We go out and play hard every night, not take shortcuts and we usually don't pick up fouls. We keep guys off the line, force them to take tough shots, force them to beat you, not beat yourself.
came fight gets half second tried wasted
We wasted the first half. We came out in the second half and tried to fight and claw to get back into the game. Once we got back into the game, they made big plays. When you play like that sometimes it gets you in the end. This was one of those nights.
continue given good improve night none onto question reach settle step time work
Every time I step out onto the floor, there's no question why I'm out there. I play to win. I don't want to settle for being a good team. I want to reach greatness. None of this was ever given to me. I had to work for everything that I've got. I continue to work, and I continue to come out and try to improve on my game, night in and night out.
bench carry gets positive steps wheels
We don't look for our bench to come in there and carry us. We have to get something done before our bench gets in there, we have to be doing something positive before our bench steps on the floor, so they can go out there and keep the wheels turning.
bail effort giving ourselves start stretch three tough victory
We put ourselves in a tough situation. We had to bail ourselves out with our defense. If we play like that for three quarters, it's going to take an effort like that down the stretch to get a victory. We have to start giving that effort from the start.
add care season
We don't care about the numbers. We just want to add them up at the end of the season and come up with home-court advantage.
close energy hopefully opportunity team themselves wear
When you get the opportunity to close a team out, you just have to come out with a lot of energy early. You just have to go out there and withstand some of their energy, play through it, and hopefully they'll wear themselves down.
stops
We've got to get back to making stops when we need them.
game good
When we play like we did today, good things happen. When we play like that, we make the game look easy.
allow ball came catch forced moved option second third walk
We came out and moved the ball around, forced them to go to their second and third option - not allow them to walk down and catch the ball where they want to catch it at.
afford allow emotions extra feed guys hang knowing pick team teams type
When a team is short-handed, you can't allow them to hang around and feed off their emotions. Knowing that they got guys out, guys want to come out and play a little extra hard, try to pick it up. You can't afford to let those type teams hang around too long.
