There was a lot of excitement and it was, it is, a very intriguing, creative concept. But there is a whole degree of reality from concept to a plan that is practical.

We have a crisis right now. We're out of bed space in the jail. Right now we're having to house a lot of the inmates out of county and that gets to be expensive.

There is a possibility that we'll have more monies than we need for the completion of this project.

I'm very, very excited about how the county has dealt with this process from the beginning. It's been very open, it's been very above board at each step and because of that the public is going to get a sports and entertainment venue that they are going to be proud of for the next 20 to 25 years.

I can understand his frustration. He's made his presentation, he's talked to a lot of these people individually and the partners didn't agree with his position at this time.
