breathe happened hit swallow
Victor's forearm hit me in the neck. It was like a clothesline. When it happened I couldn't swallow or breathe for a while.
ball barely bases break dirt edge foul funny good hear help hit liked marginal none sacrifice shot took
It hit right on the edge of the dirt and the edge of my foot, ... I didn't hear anything. It was a really marginal ball off my foot. It barely nicked my foot...and took a funny bounce. I reacted and took off running. None of the umps really had a good look at it. I would have liked to hear foul ball from the get-go and get another shot with the bases loaded. I'll sacrifice that at-bat to help us break out that inning though.
call dirt edge foot funky grabbed hear hit knew marginal took
It hit right on the edge of the dirt and the edge of my foot. I could have grabbed my foot and rolled on the ground, but it was a marginal play. It took a funky bounce. I didn't hear any call (from the umpire), so I knew I had to run.
hits worried
I haven't had a lot of hits in September. But right now, all I'm worried about is right now. I just want to get to the postseason,

ball crowd expect expected eye four hear hit three wind worst
I called for it real loud, about three or four times before I hit him, but I didn't hear him at all. You're running, the crowd is loud, the wind is blowing. And the ball was in the sun, too, so you couldn't take your eye off it. That was no fun. The worst part is I didn't expect it. It would be different if you expected it and could brace yourself, but I couldn't.
anyone hits pressure thinking worry
I can't worry about any of that. That's something I can't control. I know if I go out there and play like I can play they aren't going to want to put anyone else out there but me. What I don't want to do is put pressure on myself, thinking I have to get two hits in every at-bat.
crowd nervous saw
This was about the CD. First time, you know. I was a little nervous at first, but once I got up there and saw how the crowd was, it was like I just kind of interacted with them and had some fun.
feeling help instead spring swing trying
Everything has a purpose, instead of just going out there and whacking at it. Usually in the spring I just try to get my swing feeling good. This year, I?m trying to tighten up every part of my game, which will help me be more consistent.

But right now, all I'm worried about is right now. I just want to get to the postseason.
ahead chance club perfect situation start
That was the perfect situation to be in. I didn't start the game, but I got a chance to be up in a situation where I can put our club ahead with one swing.
ready
I went up there ready to hit. I didn't want to take any pitches.
bad baseball confusion dedication love music perceived percent putting year
I don't want there to be any confusion about this. My love and dedication is 100 percent with baseball. That's my job. That's what I think about every day. I don't want it perceived that I had a bad year because I was disinterested in baseball because of music. I am all about baseball. So I'm putting the music thing away for this year.
pressure start ton win worrying
We've already got a ton of pressure going out there. We can't start worrying about that we have to win this and we have to win that. We just had to go out there and try to get a run.
