backs happens running talented win
When we win big games, our running backs play well. This one happens to be the most talented of the ones that we had.
figure focus further good guys hope late mix smart talk
We don't talk about that. To be in the mix is good this late in the season, but I hope our guys are all smart enough to figure out it's about (Purdue) this week. All the focus is on this week, and no further than this week.
beat good half throwing tyler
Tyler can beat you with his feet. We didn't give him a lot of throwing opportunities, but I thought the one just before half (to Randle El) was well-anticipated. I thought (Donovan) did some real good things.
beaten both football good sides solid team
Well, we were beaten by a very good football team today. They are very solid on both sides of the ball.
great guy trophy
We've had great ones and we've had Heisman Trophy winners. This guy is special, and I think he showed that.
change communication three time
When they change formations . . . two or three times, every time there's a change, there's a different communication that comes out,
front goal line sees somebody three year
We probably had three this year where he sees nothing but goal line in front of him and a lot of yardage, a big hit, and somebody dives and just nips his toe. But he'll get some of those before the year is over.
athletic both bunch chance win
We didn't play particularly well and still had a chance to win both of those games. They're very athletic (teams) and they do have a lot of speed, but we're not a bunch of slugs in this league.
communication decision relationship rely senior staff trust type voice whatever
He's someone that I could rely on. I told senior staff and everyone else, if I wasn't there, whatever Jamie's decision was, Jamie's voice was my voice and that's the type of communication and relationship and trust that I had in him.
sure
I don't know if I'd do anything over. I'm sure I've made mistakes, but nothing that we haven't been able to overcome.
call coach mason safety taken
Coach Mason could have taken a safety, but that's his call and I'm not going to second-guess him.
front game goal late line matter pulled seen sees somebody three year
I haven't seen any frustration, I really haven't. I pulled him over late in the (Indiana) game and told him to just keep going because I think it's just a matter of time. There have been probably three (runs) this year where he sees nothing but goal line in front of him, and somebody dives and just nips his toes. But he'll get some of those before the year is over.
seen
I haven't seen any frustration. I really haven't,
generous slide strong tight
I let him slide on that one; I was very generous today. In a tight ballgame, we would have had a very strong conversation.
