Duquesne played with a lot of energy and hustle. We didn't match that energy in the first half. But the game is 40 minutes long. I thought our size and strength eventually would take care of that. If Duquesne continues to play like that they'll start to win some basketball games. They've got a feel of how they want to play.

You can call whatever you want against us, but it's got to be the same at both ends. When there's contact going to the basket, they call fouls. That's fine. But when my guys go to the basket and there's contact, it should be a foul. It's just that simple. When that doesn't occur, then obviously there's a problem there.

But when you don't do that, there are other things that you can do -- hustle plays like the tip-in or the rebounds on the free throws. Those were some tough calls. I don't remember us getting the benefit. Even the last play (Rice's drive to the basket), there's contact driving to the basket and that's (no foul). We make contact and it's a foul. It?s unfortunate. We played well enough and I thought we would earn the respect of the officials, but maybe it didn't?t work out that way.

They're not really small. They may be a little shorter, but they're strong enough to be effective. They're quick and strong and they have some basketball savvy. It's more the mind-set than anything else. Instead of using their height as a disadvantage, they use it as an advantage. Obviously, they've made it work.

You might as well get used to this. There's some new people in town and y'all got to hopefully welcome us with open arms. I'm not talking about just BC, but you've got Miami and Virginia Tech. He's got great hands. He's a tough young man who has a tremendous amount of determination. I mean, his determination is really what makes him the player he is. He's obviously got good qualities - he's got good touch around the basket - but it's his work ethic that allows him to be the quality player he is. I'm just saying I don't think there are many players that play with that type of intensity, particularly freshmen.
