bigger bit goal picture
I have a little bit of a bigger picture in mind. I know the whole goal of these tournaments is to do well at the Open.
clay coming evident felt good grass last match transition week
I felt pretty good coming off of last weekend. The transition coming off grass last week to clay was pretty evident in this match but I thought if I could get through this one I'd be all right.
except felt good
I felt pretty good all the way around, except for that first game.
bad felt hurting points worse
I felt it in between points and it's just getting worse and worse and worse. It's hurting pretty bad right now.
felt served
I felt like I served a lot better than I did (against Martin). I felt comfortable at all times.
authority bit ended felt guys hitting needed scared second serve serves tried
I felt like I needed to (get more aggressive), ... I need to make these guys scared of my forehand, and that's what I tried to do today. I tried to serve with a little bit more authority and ended up hitting my second serves great.
ball felt hit shot won
I felt like I hit the ball pretty well, especially my forehand, which was the shot that essentially won me the match,
ball felt hit normally
I felt like I hit the ball better than I normally do in the first round. I was in control.
bit break felt game good played returns
I felt like I had a little bit of a momentum, and then he played a pretty good game to break me. He put a lot of returns in off my first serve.
best definitely felt hanging raised stuff throwing
I felt like he was throwing his best stuff at me and I was just hanging on with my serve, ... If I hadn't raised my game, I'd definitely be going home.
ball control felt putting struggling
I felt like I was in control of everything out there, ... I wasn't struggling through points. I was putting the ball where I wanted.
beginning controlled felt good
I felt good from the start. I controlled the beginning of each set and that was pretty much it.
ball clean felt good hitting losing points
I felt good because, you know, even the points I was losing, I felt like I was losing them on my terms. I thought I was hitting the ball big and attacking. It felt clean today.
aspect ball felt game good hitting success
I felt comfortable with every aspect of my game out there. I was hitting the ball pretty good and getting a lot of success with the slice.
