captivated enjoys hope involved nation series win
The series has captivated the nation and I hope that everyone involved with the win enjoys the celebrations that will deservedly follow.
good italy playing respect round team win wins
We know that Italy is a good team and we respect it. It will be important to win because we are playing on the road. There were no away wins in the first round of the competition.
against anywhere couple improved last mark six win won
We should be able to win anywhere in the world and against any opposition. France, where we haven't won in six years, is an important place for us to make our mark - to show how much we have improved over the last couple of years.
both game potential win
We are both going into the game with the potential to win the championship.
aims belief confidence full game playing team total win
I have got total belief in this team. Sunday's game will tell us where we are. We want to win the championship, it was one of our aims for the season, and I have full confidence in the way the team is playing the game.
focus lawrence leadership particular winning
Our whole focus is on winning this particular game. There's where Lawrence comes into the equation, especially for the leadership he brings.
beat key picked starting win winning
The key for us is to win this game. I think we have picked a starting XV and a 22 that can beat Wales, and for us it is about getting that winning momentum.
charge cope doubt referee upset
We are very disappointed, and this will hurt, there is no doubt about that. We are upset now, but the referee is in charge and he has called it his way, and we have got to be able to cope with that.
against allow battle bench early establish facing great hope italians ourselves penalties players points position previous score sloppy tend understand won
I very much hope we score some early points and get the thing won in the first 20 minutes, as we have on previous occasions. But we all understand we're facing a great battle here. If we're sloppy at the set pieces, give away penalties and allow the Italians to establish a foothold in the game, we may find ourselves having to use our bench players to win, which is not a position in which we tend to find ourselves against these opponents.
days four pleased
I've been really pleased with the four days here,
ability against astute band carve concentration control crowd dominant experience france game great life miss pack playing powerful squeeze stop targeting
I've been targeting this game for Matt. It's a horses-for-courses selection. He's got great experience and an ability to control the forwards. Against France we've got to be right in their faces. They have a powerful pack that can be dominant if you let them play. If you let your concentration drop, or miss one-on-one tackles, they can carve you up. So we've got to be astute and squeeze the life from them. We've got to stop the band playing and get the crowd whistling.
created creating eight looked number pass scoring tries
We created eight opportunities but didn't take them. It is something to be looked at. We were one pass away from scoring a number of tries but we are creating scoring opportunities.
andy coming composure forward good moved team
The team has moved forward and I thought Andy Goode, coming in at fly-half for his first start, had a very, very good game. He showed some real composure under pressure.
game physical rugby
Rugby is a physical game and sometimes it erupts but we are not condoning it and it's disappointing,
