confidence early everybody teammates trust
We have a lot more confidence in our teammates where they're going to do the right thing. Early on, we didn't trust everybody as well as we should have.
credit felt team
It's a little disappointing that we didn't play better. We felt like we could play better than what we did, but you have to give credit where credit is due. They were the better team today.
felt five good last second six team
We felt like we could play a lot better second half. We were up three, so we felt pretty good about where we were. We've been a second-half team in the last four, five or six games. We've always been able to make a push, and were able to do it again.
early helped last teams understanding week
We're getting better there, and that's encouraging. Early in the year, we weren't very good. Last week helped us when you have to play teams like you do down at (the) Benton (Tournament). I think we're understanding a little better what we need to do defensively.
against confidence faced gives local quality record region schedule straight teams three tough
We had a tough non-region schedule with three straight local opponents, then having to go on the road. Three-one is a quality record against the teams that we have faced so far, and that gives us some confidence going into region play.
against competition experience good help helped played prepared road schedule teams though won
I think that one thing that will help us is our schedule and our season. We've played good competition, we've played good teams and we've won on the road against good teams. That experience has prepared us for this run. Even though we have some losses, it's helped us.
great onto trying understand winning
I understand that they're trying to do something different because what they've done hasn't worked, but I don't think they've latched onto this great winning strategy.
both came campaigns changes disregard document ideas last letter longer question week
Both gubernatorial campaigns last week were told that the letter in question was no longer a working document and were told to disregard it. We came up with some ideas and changes that we want to make.
build felt figured pound pressure
We figured they were going to pound it in there to him. We just kind of felt like if we could get them down, the pressure would build on them and they would do some things that they couldn't do, or just individually take over. That's kind of the way it happened.
defended handful sure switch tried
(Williams) was a handful because of the way we defended him. We just tried to switch everything on Terrill and make sure we had a hand in his face.
ask game games leave mean
We have one game to get to Peoria. You can't ask for a better thing than that. We told them before the game that this is why you play -- for games like this that mean something. Just go out and leave everything on the floor. I thought they did that.
basket couple floor hard huge kids palm spread worked
We were able to get a couple of lay-ups when we spread the floor and I thought the 3-point basket by Palm was a huge one. The kids have worked hard for this.
guard tough
We know they have two outstanding guards, and we know they can get out and guard you. They look to be tough to defend.
beginning games goal kids last main win year
We told the kids at the beginning of the year that our main goal was to win more games than we did last year.
