To be honest, with the way a mentality like mine sort of works, this means as much to me as doing it in the finals,
It felt great, ... It means a lot more than the 19th and a lot less than the 21st.
means as much to me as doing it in the finals.
It's good to be back on the court healthy and excited. I am still not as comfortable, and that will take a couple of matches. But what was important was that I was getting into good positions, which means I am moving well.
This is what you work so hard for. This means as much to me as being in the finals.... There are few moments that can be this special.
Oh, how do you find words for what this means? This has been some of the greatest memories I've ever had on the court, ... I'll have these memories the rest of my life. Being in the finals at 35 just means you're going to have to put up with me a lot longer.
That means you go out in the match and you address it with urgency and you have to play well, ... He's not the first guy to make you feel that way, but he's certainly the guy that's doing it better than anybody now.
I've said before, I don't know how I'm going to go out, ... I know one thing, if I'm out there playing well and giving something back to the sport, it's going to be hard not to give it more.
I've played No. 1 in the world tennis before and there wasn't a time when I ever felt like a favorite,
I settled down on my service games and my ground strokes, put enough pressure on him to get that break.
I've been thinking that for four years. You never know when it's your last go,
It would be great to win, but I have no interest in putting a nice little bow around my career and handing it over to anybody,
Andy had number one in his hands the whole week,
