If that didn't let him know this weekend that he can be a great player in this league, then nothing will. But I think he got the message.
He was angry, and had every right to be.
He wasn't calm. He was angry, and he had every right to be. What I got out of it is that the guys need to take a challenge to make this team better. He talked about this bad time were going through and how we need to stick together. It's very important for us to stay together as a unit.
He has that confidence, that swagger with him. He doesn't feel like a little young guy out of place anymore. He feels welcome. He knows that, that's his spot and he's a part of this franchise.
He got himself involved. It wasn't so much anything we did specifically ? we did really the same things we've been doing. He found ways to get his hands on the ball.
He gave me an excuse, and I didn't buy it. I told him that's what we need him to do. Andre is not selfish at all, but he has to be selfish in that sense to try to get shots up, because we need him to.
He gave me an excuse, and I didn't buy it.
Steve set the tone for them and everyone else just followed.
My shot felt good from the beginning of the game to the end.
Looking back on everything that happened with me and coach, 99 percent of the time it was my fault. I see that now, definitely. ... Now that he's gone, you understand you lost a lot.
I just continue to play the way that made me successful in this league. Once I stop being aggressive on the basketball court, I'll be hurting my team more than helping them.
Chris and myself, some nights we're going to struggle and we're not going to be able to get it done. We need other guys to step up. When you get 31 from a guy off the bench, you're supposed to win that game.
But when you want to come to work, it makes things that much better. Mentally, when you're at work, it doesn't feel like work. When you take the fun part away from basketball, that's a problem.
I know I am healthy enough to go out there and not hurt my teammates.
