closing confidence floor freshmen shows
They're two freshmen but they're out on the floor closing out a game. It just shows the confidence that he's got (in them).
name opportunity player scare team win
The name of a team doesn't scare me. The name of a player doesn't scare me. It's an opportunity for us to win a ballgame.
close clutch confidence couple games handled knock last lately minutes playing shots situations totally
That's why I have a lot of confidence still. It's not like we're just playing totally bad. We have to be able to close out games when it's getting tough, when it's getting down to the last couple of minutes and being able to knock shots down. Clutch situations lately we haven't handled very well.
coach confidence gets tells
Defensively, his confidence is really growing. Everything coach tells him he gets done.
Definitely. I could breathe. It didn't feel like I had windshield wipers.
chance cherish everybody guys last left looking lose minutes ncaa ready realize
I want all our guys to realize that if we get a chance to play in the NCAA tournament, that's our last chance. If we lose then, there's no more looking back and saying, 'OK, we can get it back.' You can't get it back. If we have 40 minutes left (in) our season, we have to cherish that. Everybody has to be ready to play. We have to just think we can't get that back. So we have to play with that urgency.
coming concentration games win
That's how you win games - if you're attacking, aggressive. That was a big concentration coming into the game.
attack saw watched win
That's how you win games, if you attack and you're aggressive. The Northwestern game, we watched that and saw where we had a lot of opportunities where we could (have) and we didn't attack.
ball minute player screen
You never know what to look for. The minute that you think they're going on a screen they backdoor you. ... Their passes, they put the ball there before the player is there. They keep you on your heels.
chance close depending happen hopefully ourselves position strong ten
You never know what's going to happen in the Big Ten. We have to close out as strong as we can. There's still a possibility for us to get a Big Ten championship, depending on how things go. We just have to do everything we can to put ourselves in position to hopefully have a chance to win.
against battle burden certain five four given knew losing numbers players playing shoulders stick teams tough
It was a burden a lot of players put on their shoulders that they had to do certain things. That's just hard. After losing those guys, we knew it would be tough given the numbers that we had playing against other teams that were as experienced or more experienced and had four or five seniors. We knew it was going to be a tough battle and we just wanted to stick it out.
faster forced horrible instead line played push shots trying type
The shots we took, as horrible as they were, that set it up for them to push it up faster instead of trying to make them work, get some fouls and get to the line or make some shots - and then they can't push it as fast. I think they forced us into some shots and that's their type of game...Early, that's what we did. We just played into their hands.
accomplish offer
So I see a lot that we have to offer and a lot that we can do and accomplish but it has to be for 40 minutes.
chance drawing figure game inside shaping team year
I'm always shaping my game into what the team needs. This year we really need me going inside and drawing fouls. I figure I'll always have a chance to do that.
