I'm real proud of the kids. Last year we were beat physically. This year we weren't pushed around. This win goes to last year's seniors as well as this year's.
It's a big opportunity we have together. He was drafted first, and I was drafted the year after. We talk about last year, and we're learning as we go. Every day, we're out here picking each other's brain and learning about certain types of feeds that I like and ones he likes. At the same time, we're good friends.
It's the first time we've had four players in double figures all year. As the year is going on, we're really spreading around the scoring a lot more than we did last year ? we're not so one-dimensional. Brad is still dominating, but if he's in foul trouble we can still pull games out.
It's so much easier having Butter (Butterfield) as an infield coach. Just watching Orlando play, you can't help but learn a lot. I adjusted well to third this year, and working hard really helps everything along. If I do that (with second base), it will feel like home.
Everyone on the team scored. We had four guys in double-digits.
Every night he's seen double- and triple-teams, but I would say tonight might have been the best defense he's seen. They mixed it up a little bit so it wasn't the same all the time. They did an excellent job preparing.
It was a great game for our low-post players. They were just dynamite.
It's just about finding the right arm slot and finding the right position with your feet.
They are just great, great ball defenders. They've done it to a lot of people this year.
We got out pretty good, pretty early. We did a good job mixing it up, inside and outside.
We implore the students of the Kennel Club to show the nation this weekend what makes Gonzaga different.
We scored six runs in the first inning. We had three hits and one walk in that inning and Stowe had seven errors. And then after the first inning it was a 3-3 ball game.
We had a great game offensively. Every one contributed and elevated their game to replace Brad.
This team's always been good at even if we don't win battling back and not giving away at-bats. We kept in there and ended up on top.
