country strong lying
This is a decent and honorable country - and resilient, too. We've been through a lot together. We've met challenges and faced dangers, and we know that more lie ahead. Yet we can go forward with confidence - because the State of our Union is strong, our cause in the world is right, and tonight that cause goes on. God bless.
running moving choices
We go forward with complete confidence in the eventual triumph of freedom. Not because history runs on the wheels of inevitability; it is human choices that move events. Not because we consider ourselves a chosen nation; God moves and chooses as He wills.
grateful blessing mind
Deeply impressed with the blessing which we enjoy, and of which we have much manifold proofs, my mind is irresistibly drawn to that Almighty Being, the great source source from whence they proceed and whom our most grateful acknowledgements are due.
country honor matter
We honor the heritage of all who come here, no matter where they come from, because we trust in our country's genius for making us all Americans - one nation under God.
believe grace needed
I believe in grace because I've seen it and peace because I've felt it and forgiveness because I've needed it.
men want said
I said you were a man of peace. I want you to know I took immense crap for that.
lying believe rights
Terrorists and their allies believe the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the American Bill of Rights and every charter of liberty ever written are lies to be burned and destroyed and forgotten.
war order defense
War crimes will be prosecuted. War criminals will be punished. And it will be no defense to say, 'I was just following orders.'
two guilty crime
I'm absolutely confident that everybody that's been put to death is two things: One, they're guilty of the crime charged, and, secondly, they had full access to our courts, both state and federal.
justice building nations
We're not into nation-building. We're into justice.
revenge america mind
You cannot lead America to a positive tomorrow with revenge on one's mind. Revenge is so incredibly negative.
giving people watches
I don't watch the nightly newscasts on TV . . . nor do I watch the endless hours of people giving their opinion about things. I don't read the editorial pages; I don't read the columnists. It can be a frustrating experience to pay attention to somebody's false opinion.
player textbooks guts
I'm not a textbook player. I'm a gut player.
eye taught looks
I was taught that we should look after the beam in our own eye before searching for the mote in someone else's.
