assume both guys laying leaning maybe nasty start toward
You kind of flinch a little bit, when you see can see that both of them have a bead on it. When the guys start laying out a little bit, leaning toward the ball, that's when you assume that maybe something nasty could happen. Very scary.
handled help hoping maybe
Maybe I should have handled that differently. I don't know. I'm hoping a lot of the things I did now will help us in the future.
base bunt feels felt game hit maybe might prefer rather swing
I told him that I'd prefer him not to do that. He felt he could maybe get a bunt base hit and, like I said earlier, if he makes it, then we're OK. But even if he makes it, it still might not be the right play.. ... He feels that's part of his game in his mind. But, personally, no, I'd rather him swing the bat.

maybe nice starting
He had a nice game. Maybe he's starting to feel comfortable this spring. But we've got a long way to go.
act game great houdini job less maybe playing
He did a great job of playing a little Houdini act there. He had more or less a C-plus game - a C-minus game, maybe - and was able to make big pitches.
ball bit continue good guys maybe start struggling team though
He is part of the team and he's going to be a part of the team. We'll get him going. He's going to be fine. We feel real good about him, even though he's one of the guys on the team that's maybe struggling a little bit right now. We'll just continue to give him the ball when we can, and I think before too long he'll start to feel good about himself.
bat swinging
We've been swinging the bat well all year. Everyone contributes to that.
couple good leaving pitchers ran shut
We just ran into a couple of good pitchers and they shut us down after leaving Arizona.
gave regular routine stay
We just gave a heads-up that's a possibility. He'll stay on a regular routine for now and then we'll see.
games might win
We might win 15 games in a row.
fair options speculate time
We could do a lot of different things. It's not fair to speculate right after the game, when you've got time to think what your options are.
advantages depth pitching schedule speed
The schedule is the schedule, but I like my team. If there are any advantages we have (over the other wild-card hopefuls), it is our speed and the depth of our pitching staff.
certain experience good growing guys happen learning sure talked taste
I've talked to my guys about it. All teams, when they go through a growing process, these things happen before you get to a certain level. I told them to make sure they don't like the taste they have in their mouth. It's going to be a good learning experience for them.
