We haven't played the same type of game two games in a row. Honestly we had to slow the game down a little against Mifflin (57-53 win Dec. 20) and Brookhaven (58-53 win Feb. 11) and we just slowed it down in a lot of different fashions (last Friday). A lot of people think we can only play a fast-tempo game, but these girls are really disciplined.

We played like a very unaware basketball team. We knew Marissa was a threat with her shooting. Look at her stats. She shoots the 3 great. We just weren't aware, and to not be aware of a player that good is scary.

The other night the doubles played well, but the singles were terrible. Last night we just flip-flopped it where the singles played well, but the doubles were terrible.

We played a bit of musical chairs today, ... We thought we had the line set on Thursday, but when Zach went down, that put us in shuffle mode.

They played very well and we didn't. Life on the road is tough when you don't play well and the other team does. When you're as young as we are, it just snowballs on us.

As usual, they both played well again. We played a little bit better in the second half. We've been a little flat the last few games. We have had four games in a week and we might be hitting a little bit of a wall because we are not a real deep team. But to not play great and still win should help us.

It's going to be tough. One thing we have to try not to do is get off to a slow start. They've got a lot of height with the Clapper girl but the thing I respect about Newark Catholic is that everybody plays their role. We'll just try to stretch the court out 94 feet and play our style.

My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

My mindset was that mentally the game was going in their favor. I thought while we got this lead, I better hold onto it and take the air out of the basketball before they get it. It was a cat-and-mouse situation. I have the lead and the ball so I might as well start it off.

It would be great to go to college with someone I know so well. We'd be able to support each other.

They are a neat resource. But we could lose them all in a very short time if we get a freeze.
