There were still some shaky times for us, but they minimized it. When we needed to get routine outs, we made the plays. Nothing spectacular.

We're just knocking the heck out of the ball. My Achilles' heel is pitching, and it's a double Achilles' heel. It's just come to fruition worse than I thought.

It gave them a scenario, a situation, a game where they can refer back to and see what it took to win one.
career focus football good grateful high school
I put a lot of thought into it. I thought about my career in high school and the athletics, and I'm grateful I got to go through it, especially football and stuff. I never thought I'd go through anything like that. That's good enough for me. I really want to focus on my academics.

I know there will always be careers there. There's never going to be less demand, being a doctor.
