It was a challenging match. She's a player with variety. Sometimes she's playing harder and hitting with spin. But that's good for me,
Are you ready for the Williams sisters? ... We'll see you on Sunday. There's going to be a lot of hard hitting and a lot of hard serving. We'll both have some tricks up our sleeves.
That was an unbelievable tie-break. She just kept hitting winners but somehow I stayed in there,
I was playing decent and she started playing really bad and it totally threw me off. She was playing weird. Next thing I knew I was playing as bad as she was. She started hitting these weird shots, short balls. ... I guess maybe it was a good strategy. It just threw me off.
We play similar games, ... We're good at covering the court and hitting hard. What's different is I'm able to play that game a little better, serve and return better, run a few more balls down. Usually when we play, I'm able to play that same game, but I step up more.
We're going to try to work on our rankings this fall, ... We both just want to win the match, whether she's playing me or if she's playing someone else.
It was tough. It was sad. I'd like to see an American win this. He obviously had a great chance. But it happens. That's sports. The best part is that he'll have another chance very soon.
The season is very long. It's pretty challenging to have to play year after year, for 10 months a year, for a human -- not a machine. You just have to watch out for yourself.
I've been called Rip Van Winkle. I wish they'd call me Sleeping Beauty.
Are you guys ready for the Williams sisters? We'll see you on Sunday.
Each tournament is important for me, ... Each tournament would do something to my ranking and such kind of thing, step forward for the future. Also I think it's opportunity, the opportunity to do I love, to play my best, to play for the people who appreciate what I do.
Quite obviously, I want to be the world number one, and of course it's a little bit challenge right here, but it motivated me most, ... The most important thing to me is that I had the fundamental of the game, I get more out of myself, and I feel like I need to make more.
Even though I've won major tennis tournaments, been on television, radio and numerous magazine covers, seeing my picture on McDonald's packaging was one of the coolest and most exciting moments of my life - I literally beamed when I saw it. McDonald's Global Casting Call will give people around the world the chance to feel the same excitement I did that day.
I've always tried to win against her. Sometimes my efforts were thwarted by her amazing play.
