Like coach said, we're not playing well right now, but we're getting better and we're going to keep fighting. Football's a rough game. It's a tough game. Things don't always go your way. It's a test of manhood to see what kind of guys we have on this football team.

They believe in their secondary, and they're confident in their cover ability. So, they challenge you on defense and will make it very tough for our offense.

This has made us come together as a team. When you are facing something tough together it helps your camaraderie. It has made us tougher and we're definitely in better shape.

We just missed on some big pass plays, but those will come, ... We need to be able to pass the ball well because I think our running game is coming along well. Once we're able to do both, we'll be very dangerous, and I really believe we are very close.

I've tried to spend as much time with those guys as possible to find out their likes and dislikes. Are they a put-your-arm-around-them type of guy or do you need to get on their tails or do you just need to talk to them? Hopefully, I'll find that out pretty quick here.
Offensively, there's a little miscommunication. Our adjustments are iffy at times.

You have to remember, I'm almost like a rookie after playing three years in a different system. I'm starting to settle in, though, so it won't be long before that guy you remember from last year is back.

I was expecting them to pressure a lot, but they didn't in the beginning, so I was kind of over-thinking things. Once I started reading what they were doing and getting the ball to our big-play guys, I felt more comfortable.

It feels like we've got a guy who understands what we go through, who's walked to class the same way we do, who understands the mentality in this town.
