You knew coming in they were going to do something to try to slow (Stephen) and Mike down. They were sending two guys at Stephen and he hit some huge shots.

We made an effort to slow down (Spencer) Stewart and (Dustin) Maguire. We decided to give (Mark) Schaefer and (E.J.) Jones a little more room, and they hit shots.

What can you say about Elliott tonight, he was awesome. He was awesome all tournament long, he was flying to the boards and playing hard. He's a great player and he showed it tonight.

We were fortunate to win that many games because there were definitely some close ones along the way. They're very well coached and they played hard for 32 minutes. They deserved to win, but we had our chances at the end.
best freshman head kept player program shut since tonight
Ever since he's been in this program as a freshman he's been our lock-down defender. We put him on their best player every game. Tonight they were double-teaming him and he wasn't getting shots, but he kept his head up and he shut down Porter.

It was a special tournament for us. Everyone stepped up for us at various times.

We had some guys step up tonight and play great. It was a great team tournament for everybody.

They're a very talented shooting team. We knew that coming in and they hit a lot of big shots.

They pounded the boards on us in the second half and we missed some free throws there at the end. We couldn't quite get over the top.

They were doubling him and he was calling Elliott's number and that just shows what kind of leader he is. Porter's a great player and Stephen held him to two points, so it shows what kind of competitor he is.
came five games hearts kids played team
I thought our kids, all five games, they just played their hearts out. They played so hard. I thought the kids really played as a team. We had five team games where the kids really came together.
