My mother was a woman. A black woman. A single mother. Raising two kids on her own. So she was dark skinned. Had short hair. Got no love from nobody except for a group called the Black Panthers. So that's why she was a Black Panther.
My mother taught me three things, respect, knowledge-search for knowledge, it's an eternal journey. That's like my hair-cut, the line, 360 degrees, find knowledge always. And she taught me to not be quiet, if there's something on my mind speak it. But also to listen.
I finally understand / for a woman it ain't easy tryin to raise a man / You always was committed / A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it / There's no way I can pay you back / But the plan is to show you that I understand / You are appreciated
The ground is the symbol for the poor people; the poor people is gonna open up this whole world and swallow up the rich people. It's gonna be like - there might be some cannibalism out this mother. They might eat the rich.
My mother taught me three things: respect, knowledge, search for knowledge. It's an eternal journey.
It makes me unhappy when brothers make babies and leave a young mother to be a pappy.
We don't need no more rappers, we don't need no more basketball players, no more football players. We need more thinkers. We need more scientists. We need more managers. We need more mathematicians. We need more teachers. We need more people who care; you know what I'm saying? We need more women, mothers, fathers, we need more of that, we don't need any more entertainers
I'm 23 years old. I might just be my mother's child, but in all reality, I'm everybody's child. Nobody raised me; I was raised in this society.
I set goals, take control, drink out my own bottleI make mistakes but learn from every oneAnd when it's said and doneI bet this brother be a better oneIf I upset you dont stressNever forget, that God isn't finished with me yet
I' ve been shot five times but im still breathing living proof there a god if you need a reason.
Thanks for comin out, God bless you, good night...What of fame?Everyone knows your face, the world screams your nameAnd never again, are you alone..
Wars come and go, but my soldiers stay eternal
If we're all saying that rap is an artform then we gotta be more responsible for our lyrics. If you see everybody dying because of what you're saying, it don't matter that you didn't make them die, it just matters that you didn't save them.
Must my guns Make em all Scatter,Bullets to my nuts only made my balls fatter.
