It was a good shot. It knocked me back to a certain degree and stung me pretty good.
The biggest factor today was big plays. We called some aggressive pass plays and were able to capitalize on some. Even the ones we didn't (connect on) scared the snot out of them.
It was just one mistake of many. We all took our turn making mistakes.
After the one down the middle where I just missed him, on the sidelines I said, 'We're not there yet but we're going to get there this game,' and we did. We got there on the slant. He's getting better every day.
I'm not going to lie to you - we were never clicking offensively. We made two plays, and we got two touchdowns out of them.
I'm excited to see how I'll hold up under pressure. I'm swinging as well as I've ever swung the golf club, so we'll see if that holds up.
I love him, ... He's a great player. He immediately makes you a better football team. There's not many players, outside of quarterbacks, who when they walk into the locker room, you're a better team. It's simple. When he's there, you're better. And when he leaves, you're worse off.
I'm excited about him on the field and the potential he brings to us for explosive plays,
In 1998, I was with Tampa Bay when we led the league in rushing - and we stunk. We led the league in rushing because we ran the ball all the time.
Its discouraging, ... I thought wed score three to four touchdowns, I really did. We didnt get any big plays.
Anytime there's no sacks they did their job. I'm very comfortable with those guys. They're a great group. We're going to be able to do a lot of good things because of them.
This week we're playing against a great front seven, ... a team that knows how to pressure the quarterback and overload the run game and make you run uphill.
This team showed an incredible mental toughness. It didn't let the storms of the game bother them. They weathered each one of them and this game wasn't in doubt at the end because they showed so much resolve.
Braylon wants to get better, and he wants to get a sense of timing and rhythm with me. After the one I just missed him down the middle, I went to the sideline and told him we're not there yet but we're going to get there this game.
