We came back through the order, and we started hitting it again. Dustin set the tone, and it was contagious; everybody started hitting it.

I thought they were ready to play, but after he smashed that pitch, it just picked them up. Hitting is contagious. The whole year, we score on some hits and the others catch on. I hope it stays like that.

We finally decided to play. Those first three innings, we were as flat as a pancake. It was a hot day. I was hot just sitting in the dugout. I think it took us a while to shake the heat off.

Travis did a great. I was worried about him, since he caught that first game in the heat. I asked him to go home, get cooled down, and come back to pitch.

Frazier hit a home run, but we came back and matched it up. Anytime they score and you can come back and match it, it lets you know the kids are focused on what they need to be doing.

Cecil you know, started off the first of the year a little rough but he came straight from basketball and he did the same thing last year. Kind of started out shaky but he ended up being one of our best pitchers if not the best.

Magazine did a great job. For a number four seed, that was a pretty good team. I think truthfully our kids come out a little tight and trying a little too hard instead of playing and letting it happen. Once we calmed down and relaxed we started playing a little bit.

We spend some time in practice just reading the ball in the dirt, and moving up. We've got to stay focused, and do what we do and we'll be OK.

It puts a little fear in you. It's crappy to host the state tournament and not play in it.
