absolute coach competitor foot interact miss opportunity player since special stepped
I think he's been everything to this program. He's been an absolute high-level competitor since the day he stepped foot on campus. I'm going to miss him, as a coach and as a teacher. He's been a special player for me to have an opportunity to interact with.
attest coach group grown ryan sure team together veteran veterans
But this is a team that has grown up. This is a team that has been together for awhile. We have a veteran group and I'm sure coach Ryan can attest to the veterans he's had in the past.
carolina coach respect south
I have a lot of respect for what Coach Odom has done with that South Carolina program.
athletic best cincinnati coach coming conference confidence confident deal florida forth games glass gone great group incredibly kids obviously performance quick road seems speed state stretch team tear tournament verge winning
They aren't as deep, but those kids that are out there know they are going to be out there. They're a very athletic team, long and rangy. I think they're a very confident team. They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've been on a tear here down the stretch and they were on the verge of winning their conference tournament before coming up a little short. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.
anchor beyond brand build coaches felt few five helpful lands loyalty period relation tournament type wherever whether
As coaches I think we have felt that wherever it lands it would be helpful to anchor it for a period of time, whether it's five or even a few years beyond that. I think we felt that we could build up some type of brand loyalty in a relation to where our tournament is.
thinking assistants coaches
Think like a head coach, but act like an assistant coach
anyone concerned felt figure lead owed
We felt we owed it to them - that we were going to go as they go. They were going to lead this. And I wasn't concerned about anyone but our seniors. Everyone else had to figure it out and get on board.
break brought certainly defend defense missed ordinarily shots together tried turn
We certainly tried to turn it up. They missed some shots they would ordinarily make. I thought we brought our defense together where we'd be able to defend and not break down.
game happy walk win
We're very fortunate. We're very happy to win this game and walk out of here with a win in double-overtime.
anyone challenge conference daunting four games gone league row three win year
The way our league has been all year it would be a daunting challenge for anyone (to win four games in four days). It's a daunting challenge to win three in a row in this conference the way things have gone this season.
pleased worked
We didn't panic. I was pleased with how we methodically worked our way back.
ball critical late trying
We had some critical turnovers late in the game, and some of those were when we were trying to get the ball to Courtney.
inside tough
Boy, is he a tough player. He was relentless, he scored inside out.
basketball daniel difference efficient good kid moments nice played player players senior state
Boy, he was just an efficient basketball player as a senior. And when you think back on some of the really good senior players who have played in Madison, you think of those moments where a kid like Wilkinson is really in a nice state of mind. That's the difference in Daniel Horton.
