He really drove that ball. I didn't think it was going to get out. I thought it was going to be a double, but it just stayed up in the air a little too long.

The effort and the way we competed for 18 innings today was outstanding. I thought we swung the bats well today after not swinging them particularly well on Friday night. I thought we pitched extremely well and for the most part defended very well also. Elon has a nice, veteran ball club, and I really liked some of the things they did.

All the credit goes to our kids. What a great job after a rough first game, and it started on the mound. Evan Crawford was really good and he did an outstanding job of getting us seven innings. Justin Bristow and Jonathan Rasberry then provided big, clutch hits for us late.

The kids bounced back (Saturday) and did extremely well, and then played well again on Sunday. So, from an emotional standpoint, and a confidence standpoint, it helps a lot. The hard work they're putting in every single day, this certainly makes them feel better to feel like they're being rewarded.
