I've said all along there were six teams capable of winning the Big Ten, and that hasn't changed. Iowa has its work cut out for it, but they've helped themselves a lot this week winning at Indiana and beating Michigan State at home.

As I look at that situation, because you can't help but see it, I feel for Mike Davis. I believe he's been under the gun maybe a little more than he should be.

Our defense was very, very good against a very complex offense at times. A week prep for that offense helped us.

I was proud of my team, staff and assistant coaches, it was a heck of a job. They were a good basketball team and put more pressure on us than Wisconsin. Our shooting and rebounding was very good, and it helps when we only turn the ball over three times in the second half.

When you play that many (ranked teams) in a row, it becomes a mental strain as far as keeping your guys up. I think it helps that it's the Michigan game. I think our guys will be up for that. If there was going to be a time when they mentally let down a little bit, I don't see it being this week. Emotionally, it's Michigan-Michigan State and that carries more than anybody we play, let's be honest.

It's great to have our league being talked about. Every team in the league is making some strides. I still think eight teams can win the Big Ten championship and in the long run that's going to help our recruiting, our exposure and the respect for our league.

I think the first five shots we took were 3s, but our inside guys weren't doing the things (we needed). In the second half, we simplified it, (we asked) the guys in the post to be passers and pickers, and that probably helped us some.

I think Al is getting better and better (in the point area). He's starting to rebound better and better at times and if he continues to do that, I think it will help us.

But when you look at what he does, it's more football-related than basketball. He bangs in there, he rebounds well, he defends well. The work he does in the weight room, the sprints they do (in football) those things help him for what we need him for.

I've tried to just keep my mouth quiet. It is a brutal, brutal, brutal schedule. And if you go through everyone's schedule, which I've done, there's no one even close. But so be it.
