chance close figure game guys looking pitch power quite
You're looking at a game of more and more power pitchers, and quite honestly, you got to figure those guys are more susceptible to getting hurt. It'll be interesting to see how many of those guys are able to pitch long enough to even come close to having a chance to do it.
days figure score
With this lineup, you figure most days we're going to score more than two runs.
afford behind bullpen carries coming defense figure great guys run score
When you're going out there as a pitcher, there are some times where you feel like you can't afford to give up a run or two runs. That carries a lot of pressure. With the way we're set up right now, you don't figure that to be the case. You figure that these guys are going to score some runs, they're going to play defense and we know we've got a great bullpen coming in behind us.
calls few phone sure
I'm sure I'll get a few phone calls before the day's over,

against catch knows lord
Every once in a while you catch a break. Lord knows we've had a lot go against us.
fastball
It was a fastball in, and I didn't get it in enough.
felt
After that first inning, ... I felt like, 'OK. Everything's fine.'
economic good problems
I'm not going to say it's good for the game. I'm not going to say there are no economic problems,
involved program wants whatever
I'm over that. Whatever happens, happens. I think we have a program that's more than efficient. If someone wants to get involved in our business, so be it.
agreement cap certain chance difference philosophy reach salary talking virtually work
In 1994 there was virtually no chance we were going to reach an agreement without a work stoppage, ... They were talking about a salary cap and we weren't. In this negotiating we've been talking about virtually the same thing. It's sometimes a difference in philosophy on how to reach certain goals.
bad both ends good
I've had really good ones and a really bad one. I've been on both ends of it.
