beaten building good hopefully player twice
It's a good win. He's a top-20 player and I've beaten him twice this year. Hopefully I can keep building on this.
allowed best occasions perhaps player proved
He proved he's the best player in the world right now. It's one of those occasions where I didn't perhaps play my best, but I wasn't allowed to.
player winning years
I've had some decent wins this year against higher ranked players but what I've failed to do is to build on those.
responsibility player needs
The young British players need to take responsibility themselves for their form and ability.
player europe russia
There is no desire from the new British players. They say their coach doesn't travel with them so it's hard, but I played hundreds of players from Eastern Europe and Russia who had no facilities at all.
issue practicing trying
When it does get irritated, you get a lot of inflammation in that area. It's very difficult, if you're practicing and trying to play, to keep that down. That was really the issue today.
chances difficult match middle period
I started the match really well but had a difficult period in the middle and had my chances at the end. That's the way it goes, that's sport.
changing either guard hearing maybe mystery offended passing please supposed time welcome
I've been hearing about this. It's either the changing of the guard or I'm supposed to be passing him something. Is it a torch? Is it a flag? Maybe it's a baton. There's this mystery thing that I'm supposed to be passing to Andy, and he's welcome to it. Please pass it on to him. I won't be offended this time if you write that.
best bit confident court focus good hopefully lady last lucky needs possible practice solely suffering time treated worse year
I've been lucky to be able to see the same lady that treated me so well last year when I was suffering much worse than I am now, so I'm confident I'm in good hands. At least I know that it's still possible for me to do well, even if my time on the practice court needs to be limited. It's not the best way to prepare, but hopefully it will be a bit better and I'll be able to focus solely on winning.
lose tough work
The work that I did to get through those two matches, to lose this is pretty tough to swallow.
birthday bonus far finish good
Everything so far has been a bonus and this is a good way to finish my birthday.
australian coming enjoyed good offers open playing thinking winning
I've always enjoyed coming to Doha and playing here. The Qatar Open offers a good tune-up before the Australian Open but I am not thinking about winning it.
andy beat best events level massive masters matches reason series six win
At the Masters Series events, you have to win six matches and you play the very best guys. But once you can beat Roddick and Hewitt, there's no reason why you can't do it. It's another level for Andy but not a massive step.
goal qualify
To be honest, the goal was to qualify for Houston.
