against david few field good hitting home innings kept kids pitch pitches playing seven team throw time
David did well to pitch seven innings against a good hitting team like Ole Miss. He kept them down and we made him throw a few more pitches than what we would like to because of our defense. We had some young kids playing for the first time against a good team on their home field and those things happen.
david difficult early game pitchers scoring thinks throw trouble win
David pitched well enough to win today. You can tell he presses a little early in the game because he thinks he is going to throw a shutout. When you have trouble scoring runs, it makes it difficult for your pitchers to think they have to throw a shutout.
deserved pitching win
We will take the win and I think we deserved it from a pitching standpoint.
added double great happy job performance plate ryan single three triple
We're very happy with Ryan Flaherty and his performance today. He had a big triple and also added a single and double in his three at-bats. Ryan did a great job at the plate today.
against aggressive bats carried confidence decent good last momentum plate pleased starting swung whatever yesterday
Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.
baseball games
Baseball is one of those games where if you do the right things, it will come back to you.
blow chances innings open patient plate today
We were more patient at the plate today but offensively we are still not where we want to be yet. We were better yesterday, but today we had some chances to blow some innings open and we didn't get it done.
compete guy kid knows last played player proven seen since
Much like David, Wade was a proven player right away. He's about as competitive a guy as you will face. I haven't seen him since we played them last year, but that doesn't matter. That kid knows how to pitch, he knows how to compete and he's a winner.
bad defense error finding good group hits played three today
We pitched well at the end today and played good defense all weekend. We didn't make an error and had 31 hits in three games, not bad for a young group that is still finding their way.
bats battling brought few good hits job key tonight
We were very opportunistic tonight offensively. We did a good job of battling in a few at bats and also had some key two-out hits that brought in runs.
ball eager good guys hits hitting keeps plan player plugging single start
Dominic has had some big hits here before. He is one of those guys that keeps plugging away. He comes down here every single day with the same plan and he is just eager to start hitting the ball again. He is a good player and you know that he is not going to be down for long.
against brown challenge conference good later players record sweep talented team tough
It was good to get the sweep against a tough Brown team that is better than their record indicates. They have a lot of experienced and talented players and should challenge for their conference championship later in the year.
bit changed game huge momentum
To me the Weathers strikeout was huge as it changed the momentum of the game. Getting the momentum back deflated them a bit and then the grand-slam put the game away.
absolute
Absolute laser beams all over the ballpark. We got destroyed.
