It was an unbelievable second shot through the trees. I mean, come on. He lands it there, just over the bunker, perfect, pin high, ho hum.

That was a nice little shot because I had to hit it a little easy, a little soft. Actually, it was a perfect 2-iron yardage. But I needed the height there. Either that or it was in the water.

I wish I was better, certainly wish I was more under par, but that's what it is. I have nine holes to get a score. One shot at a time. It can happen fast. With soft conditions like this you can make some birdies.

On six, I got lucky. I had a gap, and I just tried to put the ball up there somewhere on the green. I had a shot to the green, I was just hoping I didn't catch a limb and it came out clean.

More than the length, it's the fact that every ball is backing up. Every ball picked up mud. That's the hardest thing in the world. You can have length, and you can have longer shots to the green, but if you don't have a clean ball, it makes for a very difficult golf shot.

I felt if I shot 66, that would be a really good number to post early because I'm two hours ahead of the leaders. I wish I could have shot a couple shots lower and posted that, but you never know.

It's not physical, where you go up there and put a shoulder in somebody and take him out. It's about the ability to bear down and pull out quality golf shots on your own, and put an inordinate amount of pressure on you're opponent. That's the only thing you can do in our sport.

As golfers, we rationalize everything. You hit a bad shot and think, 'I can make birdie from there.' That's how you're supposed to think. You should always try and look at the glass as half full. But any time your parents aren't doing well and their health isn't where it could be and you think it should be, it's always tough. Everyone has to deal with that at some point in time in their life and unfortunately, right now it's our time.
