best conference extra great kept maryland offensive ourselves pride second
The best thing about them is they didn't let us go to the offensive boards. We've been first or second in the conference the whole year. We don't pride ourselves on being a great shooting. We pride ourselves in getting extra possessions, and I thought Maryland kept us from those extra possessions.
basketball boards came difference emphasis four half held limited offensive quite second
Rebounding was our emphasis the whole game, especially in the second half when we came out and held them off of the offensive boards. We limited them to four offensive boards in the second half and quite frankly, I thought that was the difference in the basketball game.
absolutely early effort fight loved second team
I absolutely loved our team effort when we got down early in the second half. Our fight was tremendous.
fact hold played second state took
I like the fact that they took hold of that second chance. We're not finished, though. Clemson played N.C. State really tough.
believe leader quite strong
Quite frankly, it's what Holly (Johnson) told them during that timeout. Holly is a very strong leader for our team, and when Holly says, 'We've got this, you guys,' they believe her.
seniors
Our seniors have been able to do so much.
folks step time
We had some folks step up for us who weren't necessarily big for us all year. That's what you've got to have this time of year.
boston college coming conference fifth finish game hold lock sixth team time top work
Boston College coming in is just the kind of game you just want to play. You have a Top 20-ranked team coming to your place and it's their first time ever in Tallahassee. There the team that will probably finish fifth or sixth in the conference and we just really want to lock in and go to work with that. We're not going to hold anything back, we're going to go after it and try to get this game with everything we've got.
awesome basketball camp elevate experience fans florida football game join love people rally special state sunday support
The thing I love most about Florida State is the people who support us. It's unbelievable to be at an FSU football game with 80,000 awesome fans. I want my players, who have done so much to elevate our women's basketball program, to experience that special atmosphere...and I'll camp out to rally those same fans to join us on Sunday at 1 p.m.!
basketball confidence content couple excited gained gone gotten grow impact means poised solid stayed strong team
The thing I am most excited about is that our team has gained confidence through this stretch. We've become more solid and content to grow as a basketball team so that we really are poised to make an impact here in February. It could have gone the other way. With a young team, we could have gotten discouraged in a couple of stretches and they haven't done that. They've stayed strong and I'm excited about what that means for this team.
certainly
We're certainly not where we want to be at.
feels good home
It feels good to be at home because it's so rare.
afternoon against best bunch effort fun game help level shot sustained throughout together
I think our rebounding effort against Clemson is going to help us. This is what we're going to have to put together up there. We don't have anything to lose. If we can play with that sustained level throughout the game, it's a 2:00 in the afternoon game and we'll have a bunch of energy. It will be fun to go up there and take our best shot at them.
cause fact helps higher ncaa state team tournament winning
Winning in the ACC Tournament always helps your seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Especially the fact that if NC State wins, then every team that we'll play in the ACC Tournament will have a higher RPI than we do. That can only help us in our cause for the NCAA Tournament.
