almost chance four gotten guys lines penalty playing point score until
I was playing almost four lines up until that point but you take a penalty and they score a goal, I can't take a chance that you're going to take another penalty, so I went with the guys who had gotten us to that point, and the other guys had gotten us to that point.
absolutely bought effort emphasize fade nights players playing precedent sets top
I can't emphasize enough that their top players bought into the system, they're working hard, playing well and that sets the precedent for the young kids. No, absolutely not. I think there's nights we do. For the most part, the effort has been there for us. But when we get in trouble, we fade away.
early meltdown mental next playing ricky third three
It was still early in the game, and Ricky has to have that third goal. We started off playing great, and then they got that first goal, and then we had a mental meltdown for the next three minutes. We have to be stronger, not physically, but mentally.
carry load miss playing ricky until
He was playing pretty well and was going to carry the load until Ricky got back. And he's been one of the leaders, has been from day one this year, on and off the ice. We'll miss that.
bought emphasize players playing precedent sets top younger
I'm very impressed. I can't emphasize enough that the top players bought into the system. Obviously, they're playing hard, obviously, they're playing well. And that sets the precedent for the younger kids.
missed net
We missed the net a lot. A lot more than I'd like to admit.
attitude effort future job lose morning question spoke stays
I spoke with Bruno this morning and I'll tell you what I told him. He didn't lose the job. He did everything he could. If his attitude stays the same it always is with him -- upbeat, you never question his effort -- he'll be fine. Bruno has a future with us.
early report saw surprised
The way he went down didn't look good, but we'll know (Saturday). The early report was that it wasn't too bad, but I haven't got a report as of yet. I saw he was pretty sore, so I wasn't surprised he couldn't come back.
center chipping deep good supposed teams
We got away from the little things. Chipping when you're supposed to, getting to center ice, we don't get it in deep like we're supposed to. The little things that good teams do, we didn't do.
game heels next point rangers score turning
That was the turning point of the game for us. If the Rangers score the next goal, it would probably have set us back on our heels a bit.
bad dumb finally gave good last played score snow takes teams took worried
I think Snow played a good game. I thought he gave us a chance. We let him down. That's the last person I'm worried about. We took lazy, dumb non-hard working penalties. It only takes one bad clear, one play. Good teams finally score on you. That's what happened.
excited surprised
I think he was excited to be back. No, I'm not surprised he did what he did.
january month
Certainly, if you look at it, the month of January is critical.
control lose
But there was no need for him to lose control in this situation.
