I think we're ahead of schedule compared to last year at this time. We look pretty sharp. We just don't know yet how they'll play when they have to strap it up and push another team around.

We have been talking with the families, and they are very appreciative of what we are doing. We are doing everything we can. I have been talking with our crews and the other chiefs, and even in high winds we just can?t get them off the water.

We couldn't have paid the vice president to give us this much publicity. Because he is a high-visibility figure, it actually elevates the importance and awareness of the hunter education effort that has a long-standing history.

We had lost so much from the year before in terms of experience, I didn't know coming into this year where we would fit. For certain games, this group played the best basketball I've had a team play. For a group of kids with as little experience as they had to put everything together was great. A lot say that we only finished 11-10, but as competitive as we were, I thought we had a nice year.
